THIS AGREEMENT IS ACCEPTED BY YOU UPON YOUR USE OF THE PLTW STANDARD AND OBJECTIVE ALIGNMENT TOOL SITE.


Introduction: Thank you for visiting the PLTW Standard and Objective Alignment Tool site. This site is intended to provide you with a tool to align PLTW curricula to applicable national and state standards. The PLTW Standard and Objective Alignment Tool site has been developed as part of the charitable and educational activities of Project Lead The Way, Inc. (PLTW) to assist and support educational institutions in providing students with high quality, effective science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) curriculum and promoting STEM education.

PLTW requires users of the site to exercise discretion in their use of the site and the content that is posted on the site.

Legally Binding Terms: This Agreement (including references and links to other terms) sets forth the legally binding terms for your use of this site, including your rights, obligations and restrictions for the use of the services. By using the site, you agree to be bound by this Agreement and PLTW’s Privacy Policy as a “User” of the site. You are only authorized to use the services if you agree to abide by all applicable laws and to this Agreement. Please read this Agreement carefully and save it. If you do not agree with it, you should leave this site and discontinue use of it immediately.

PLTW may modify this Agreement or its policies from time to time, without prior notice, and such modification shall be effective upon posting on the PLTW website or this site. You agree to be bound to any such changes when you use the site after any such modification is posted. It is therefore important that you review this Agreement and the policies regularly to ensure that you are updated as to any changes.

You may stop using the PLTW Standard and Objective Alignment Tool Prototype site at any time, for any reason. PLTW may terminate access to the site at any time, without warning. Even after access is terminated, this Agreement will remain in effect.

Term. This Agreement shall remain in full force and effect while you use the PLTW Standard and Objective Alignment Tool Prototype site.

Content Posted on This Site: The content, material and information (“Material”) on this site are intended to educate and inform for educational and non-commercial purposes. You agree that you may download or copy materials or information from this site for educational and non-commercial purposes; provided that you should retain any copyright or other proprietary notices that are on the information or materials. You also understand and agree that such information or material may belong to or be copyrighted by others, and that you may only use the Materials as authorized by this Agreement. You are responsible for implementing sufficient procedures and checkpoints to satisfy your particular requirements for accuracy and security of data input and output, and for maintaining a means external to the site for the reconstruction of any lost data.

PLTW Materials: You acknowledge that PLTW retains all rights and title to its marks, curricula, program materials and other intellectual property, including any written or electronic data, material, information, processes, know-how, samples or documents which are provided to you and/or available to you on this site (“Materials”). Your use of any of PLTW’s Materials is governed by the terms of this agreement and is limited to purposes related to the implementation of the PLTW Program. In order to ensure that its program and charitable activities are properly implemented, PLTW must vigilantly protect the proper use of its registered and unregistered trademarks, as well as all copyrighted and proprietary materials. Any use of any such materials is specifically prohibited without the prior written consent of PLTW, and may be subject to federal penalty. You may not post, modify, distribute, or reproduce in any way any copyrighted material, trademarks, or other proprietary information belonging to others without obtaining the prior written consent of the owner of such proprietary rights.

Any delay or failure by PLTW at any time or times to require performance of any provision hereof shall in no manner affect its right at a later time to enforce such provision. No delay or failure by PLTW in exercising any right hereunder shall constitute a waiver of such right or any other rights hereunder. This Agreement and any documents expressly incorporated by reference constitute the entire agreement between PLTW and you pertaining to the subject matter hereof and supersedes all prior agreements, whether oral or written, and documents regarding your use of the site. Indiana law shall govern the terms of this Agreement.

Indemnification: You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless PLTW, its directors, officers, employees, agents, successors and assigns from and against all claims and expenses, including attorneys' fees, arising out of your use of this site.

Compliance with Applicable Law: You agree to comply with all applicable laws in your use of this site.
